Tutorial - Set Up Broadcaster for Winamp | Forum

step
1.Download winamp and DSP 1.9.0 via our forum pages located here http://www.shadowradio.net/forum/9.
2.Install winamp and DSP 1.9.0 and open winamp after both have been installed. note you must open winamp only after the plugin is installed or restart winamp after installation of the DSP.
3.In Winamp click on the drop menu located in the upper left hand corner (we recomend classic skin for djing as its the easiest to work with) pull down the drop menu for winamp and click options and preferences.
4.Scroll down the preference menu and find DSP/Effect under Plugins click it and then in the sub menu to the right click DSP 1.9.1
5.There will be 4 Tabs listed in the pop up SHOUTcast source window Main,Output,Encoder,and Input first select output
6.In the output tab under connection you will place the radio address we give you in the address bar and the port and password and so on. In the yellowpages tab this is where you can name your radio station,set your contact info and set your shoutcast to link to our site (required if you are using the shadow radio main server)
7.under the Encoder tab you will want to change the setting that says AAC+ Encoder to say MP3 Encoder and broadcast at 128 kbps stereo.
finally the last tab output is where you changefrom winamp music to your mic in case you want to make announcements and such to use your mic make sure your mic is set up as your default recording device and switch the winamp over to soundcard.
